Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority has published Installation Of Lightning Arrester And Equipment Earthing With Making Of New Earth Pit At Administrative Building And G Plus 4 D Type Staff Quarter Under Swtp, Kmda.- Excavation of soil for installation of Earth Electrode and filling & ramming. For Soft Soil (Approx. 3 Cu mtr. for each electrode. 3 Cu mtr × 8 Nos.= 24 Cu mtr) 2 Earthingwith65mmdiaGIpipe(TATA-Medium)x3.0Mts. long and 1 No. 50 mm x 6 mm galvanized (Hot Dip) steel strip (4Mts.long), 20mmdia x125mmlonggalvanizedbolt, double nuts, double washers including finishing both ends by making holes etc. and S & F 65 mm dia GI pipe (ISI-Medium) protection (3 Mts.long) tobe filledwith bitumenpartly under the ground level and partly above ground level to an average depth of 3.65 Mts. (For Each Building 3 Nos for Lightning arrester & 1 Nos for Equipment earthing, Total = 4 Set, Total= 8 Set) 3 Extra for providing masoneryenclosure on the top of the earth electrode ofoverall size 86.36 cm x 86.36 cm x 46 cm deep (below Ground level) complete with cemented brick work(1:6) of25 cm width duly plastered with cement morter (inside) CI hingedinspectioncoverofsize36.56cmx35.56cmwith lockingarrangement,GIreducer includingdrillingof46nos. 12 mm dia holes on the GI pipe. 4 Supply & installation of copper make five spike prong as deemed to be used as lighitning arrester having approx. 01 (one) metre, roof mounted, complete with all accessories and as directed by EIC.
