Southern Railway has published Supply Of bogie bolster arrangement , bogie bolster arrangement to drg. no. icf/mrvc/m-0-4-001/col.1, alt k and r dso specn.c-9202,rev.02. the firm shall fulfil the requirements as per icf/md/specn.147, i ssue status: 01, rev-02with amd no: 01. items shall be suitably packed to avoid ingress o f water in center pivothousing and spigot housing. threaded air connection at bolster end shall be closed. biodegradable plastic/wooden covers may be used for closing. all machined areas shall becoated with grease (lithium based) before packing. paint sc hemeshall be as per drg. firm to supply the bogie bolster with suitable packing so that the bogiebolster parts like cp pin housing, side bearing flange, damper bracket , reserv oirbracket,levelling valve fixing bracket and spigot housing are not damaged duringt ransportation /handling /storage.
