Southern Railway has published Supply Of supply, installation and commissioning oil firing system , supply, installation and commissioning of hsd oil firing system of x class steam locomotive x-37399 to meet the heat generation of steam pres sure 14.06 kg/square centimeter with super heated temperature of 296 degree c (saturationtemperature -198 degree c + super heated temperature - 98 d egree c) in horizontal multi tubular fire tube all welded x-class steam locomotive boiler of steam producing capacity 5 tons / hour having heating surface are a of 96 square meter and furnace volume of (1763 mm x 1052 mm x 1168 mm ) utilizing hsd as per is specification 1460-2005( 5th revisionor latest) amen dment no-3,sept ,12. with gross calorificvalue (gcv) 10600-11300 kcal/kg & net calorific value (ncv)10100-10300 kcal/kg as per the goc specification x -0 47 ver 01 issue 02. note: works to be carried out at erecting shop/central workshops, sr, golden rock and commissioning after load trials to be carried out at mettupalayam (mtp) elevation of 325.22 meters- coonoor (onr) elevation of 1711 meters section of altitude from mean sea level (msl) distance of 28 km i ncluding 21 km of rack section from kallar (qlr) to coonoor (onr) of nilgirimountain railway (nmr). refer detailed specifications and drawings atta ched alongwith tender. performance warranty: the supplier should provide a warranty of one year from the date of commissioning at mettupalayam (mtp) elevation of 325.22 meters - coonoor (onr) elevation of 1711 meters section of altitude from mean sea level (msl) for the satisfactory working of the s upplied items. any equipment/component/subassembly which fails during warranty period shall be replaced/rectified free of cost by the supplier within 24 hr s from the reporting time.
