Heavey Water Board has published Tender For In- Service Inspection Of Plant Equipments & Pipelines - Mobilization Of Skilled Manpower (Level- Ii & Iii) , Ndt Instruments, Required Consumables, Carrying Out Below Mentioned Ndt Activities And Submission Of Report Visual Examination - Thorough Examination Of The Entire Equipment/ Pipeline Loop Including Body, Nozzle, Studs, Washer & Supports As Instructed By The Engineer In-Charge For Any Dimensional Variation, Visual Crack, Surface Condition, Viz. Errosion , Corrosion Etc. Job Include Removal Of Insulation, Buffing & Grinding (If Any) For Inspection Hardness Measurement - Thorough Grinding & Cleaning Of The Surface, Insulation Removal (If Any) Prior To Performing The Test. Non-Denting Equipment Should Be Used And Hardness Should Be Taken At Four Diametrically Opposite Points In Case Of Pipelines. One Spot Consist Of Three Points, Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement - Thorough Grinding & Cleaning Of The Surface, Insulation Removal (If Any) Prior To Performing The Test. Thickness Should Be Taken At Four Diametrically Opposite Points In Case Of A Pipeline Using Normal Probe With A Proper Record Of The Results Including Percentage Reduction In The Thickness.
