Military Engineer Services has published Repair And Maintenance Of Steel Wooden And Canning Furniture At Afs Mount Abu Under Ge ( Af ) No 2 Jodhpur-2 Top back rest 3 Bottom leg stiffener 4 Front legs 5 Rear Legs 6 Seat Member/Seat Rail 7 Rubber/PVC shoes 8 RECANING OF WOODEN CHAIRSnM&L for removing old unserviceable plastic cane form wooden chair and providing new white colour plastic cane 2mm to 2.5mm wide 0.40mm thick for weaving and 4mm wide plastic cane of 0.60mm thick for border work suitable for following description of chairs( weaving shall be Godrej pattern) and all as directed by Engr-in-Charge and as shown on drg . n 9 Chair Dining CB 10 Chair Writing 11 Chair Easy 12 M&L for preparation of wooden surfaces of chair dining by scraping with sand paper, redusting and apply putty wherever required and polishing the surface with french polish to get glossy finish all as directed by Engr-in-Charge.n 13 M&L for preparation of wooden surfaces of chair Easy by scraping with sand paper, redusting and apply putty wherever required and polishing the surface with french polish to get glossy finish all as directed by Engr-in-Charge.n 14 M&L for preparation of wooden surfaces of chair writing by scraping with sand paper, redusting and apply putty wherever required and polishing the surface with french polish to get glossy finish all as directed by Engr-in-Charge.n 15 REPAIR OF CHAIR VARANDAH : n-M & L for removing broken/ unserviceable cane from both seat & back of Chair Varandah and Recanning the same with best quality plastic cane 5mm wide and 0.60 mm thick of approved make after cleaning throughly all the surfaces of chair including required welding work for broken frame whereever required and redusting and applying two coat of synthetic enamel paint white colour over a coat of red oxide primer of approved make and providing suitable hard rubber shoes 4 Nos approved quality for each chair and all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge. 16 Repair of Chair CB Steel with Arms : 17 M & L for removing unserviceable seat from chair CB steel with arms and S & F new seat made out of 2nd class hard wood and canned with 2mm to 2.50mm wide and 0.4mm thick plastic cane white colour and 4mm wide 0.6mm thick plastic cane for all round the border including black polishing to the wooden frame and fixing to the same with 4 Nos GI Nut and bolts of size 3/16X3 long with two washers on either side of the seat, and all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. 18 M & L for removing unserviceable back from chair CB steel with arms and S & F new back made out of 2nd class hard wood and canned with 2mm to 2.5mm wide and 0.4mm thick plastic cane white colour and 4mm wide 0.6mm thick plastic cane for all round the border including black polishing to the wooden frame and fixing to the same with 4 Nos GI Nut and bolts of size 3/16X3 long with two washers on either side of the back, and all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. 19 M & L for removing unserviceable/broken arms from chair CB steel with arms and S & F new arms made out of first class teak wood and handle shall be black polished and fixed to the chairs CB steel with arms with suitable wooden screws, and all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. 20 M & L for preparation of steel surfaces by emery paper to Chair CB steel with arms and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint olive green/smoke gray shade approved quality over a coat of red oxide primer and all as shown on Drg. And as directed by Engr-in-Charge. 21 Repair of Chair CB Steel without Arms : 22 M & L for removing unserviceable seat from chair CB steel with out arms and S & F new seat made out of 2nd class hard wood and canned with 2mm to 2.5mm wide and 0.4mm thick plastic cane white colour and 4mm wide .6mm thick plastic cane for all round the border including black polishing to the wooden frame and fixing to the same with 4 Nos GI Nut and bolts of size 3/16X3 long with two washers on either side of the seat, and all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. 23 M & L for removing unserviceable back from chair CB steel with out arms and S & F new back made out of 2nd class hard wood and canned with 2mm to 2.5mm wide and 0.4mm thick plastic cane white colour and 4mm wide .6mm thick plastic cane for all round the border including black polishing to the wooden frame and fixing to the same with 4 Nos GI Nut and bolts of size 3/16X3 long with two washers on either side of the back, and all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. 24 M & L for preparation of steel surfaces by emery paper to Chair CB steel with out arms and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint olive green shade approved quality over a coat of red oxide primer and all as shown on Drg. and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. 25 Repair of Charpoy GI Pipe with Plywood top (FD-220) 26 M & L removing old unserviceable plywood /MDF board top from the Charpoy GI pipe and S & F with new 12mm thick BWR Gde plywood commercial type of size 1980x900mm and all as directed by Engr-in-Charge . Maske of plywood :- Greenply/Kitply/Century ply. 27 M&L for removing unserviceable three way elbow 32 mm dia and S & F new three way elbow 32 mm dia medium grade (ISI marked) and all as shown on drg. 28 M&L for removing unserviceable check nuts of 32 mm dia and S & F new check nuts 32mm dia 6mm thick of best quality and all as shown on drg. 29 M&L for removing the threadless/broken long rails from charpoy GI Pipe 32 mm dia and supply and fix new long rail made of 32 mm dia GI Pipe medium grade 1.88 mtr long threaded at both ends and fix to existing three way elbow 32 mm dia and all as shown on drg.(GI pipe Make: TATA/Jindal/Prakesh). 30 Taking out existing old broken short rail from Charpoy GI 32mm dia and providing in position 2 Nos short rails made out of old broken long rail obtained from taking down above item No. 5.04 ncluding threading on both ends complete fixing all as specified and shown on drg. ( Note : U/s check nuts to be replaced in above item & measured and paid as supply only under relevent item). 31 Taking out existing old broken legs from Charpoy GI 32mm dia and providing in 1 Nos new legs in position made out of old broken short rails obtained from taking down above item No. 5.05 and S&F 3mm thick 40mm dia MS plate welded at bottom of leg and including threading on top portion end complete all as specified and directed by Engr -in- Charge. 32 M & L Welding to the dislocated iron flats of charpoy GI pipe earlier converted to Plywood top to the long / short rails. 33 ALMIRAH LARGE STEEL WITH SHELVES, ALMIRAH STEEL 1/2 HANGING 1/2 SHELVES( FD-1031 & 1033) 34 Removing UNSV locks from almirah & S & F new 6 levers locks, Godrej pattern (Make-HARRISON/GODREJ/LINK), with duplicate and key & hole cover and all as specified and directed by Engr -in- Charge. 35 Removing UNSV handle & S & F new steel anodized handles Godrej pattern with suitable bolts and all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Make-GODREJ/HARRISON 36 Removing UNSV locking assembly & S & F new locking assembly with cover complete all as specified and directed by Engr -in-Charge. 37 M & L for denting & painting of Almirah large steel both internally and externally with synthetic enameled paint of silver/ grey colour with spray gun after properly smoothening the steel surface with the help of Sand paper/ electric grinder,applying putty on dents and providing a coat of primer complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Make of Paint:-Berger/Asian paint/Jonson and Nicholson Paints. 38 ALMIRAH MEDIUM STEEL W/SHELVES : FD-1032 39 Removing UNSV shelves from almirah Medium steel & S & F new shelves made out of 1mm thick palain sheet fixed with appropriate clamps/screws/ nuts bolts complete all as specified and directed by Engr -in- Charge 40 Removing UNSV locks from almirah & S & F new 6 levers locks, Godrej pattern (Make-HARRISON/GODREJ/LINK), with duplicate and key & hole cover and all as specified and directed by Engr -in- Charge. 41 Removing UNSV handle & S & F new steel anodized handles Godrej pattern with suitable bolts and all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.
