Southern Railway has published Supply Of compressed air petrol pre heating equipment for skv welding with all accessories , compressed air petrol pre heating equipment for skv welding with all accessories (with one set spare blow torch for compressed air petrol) approved by rdso , suitable for fixing 52kg & 60kg jaws a nd wheels to be provided for moving the machine on rail and road. engine should be of honda gx 200 or equivalent with capacity 4.1kw 5.5hp at 3600rpm ,max air pressure 0.5 bar ,air discharge 70cum air and operating pressure of pre heating 0.15 to 0.2 bar. pre heating time 4 to 5.5 minutes ,temperature range 6 50deg to 850deg ,pressure to be developed 0.2-0.3 kg/sq cm ,compressed petrol tank capacity 10lit and p etrol tank capacity to perform pre heating of 10 joints to be ensured. make : kelvin , itc or similar [ warr anty period: 30 months after the date of delivery ] ].
