South Western Railway has published Supply Of supply, installation,testing and commissioning of 24 vdc twin beam led headlight , supply, installation,testing and commissioning of 24 vdc twin beam led headlight as per r dso specification no. rdso/2017/el/spec/0134 (rev.04). on various types of track machines. rdso specif cation no.rdso/2017/el/spec/0134(rev.04) detailed as below:- (1).operating voltage should be nominal 2 4vdc ,minimum voltage 22vdc and maximum working voltage 30 vdc (2).power consumption should not b e more than 100 watts at nominal operating voltage (3).the led unit should have built-in reverse polarity protection.the reverse polarity test shall be conducted at a nominal voltage (24vdc) for 1 minute (4). brigh t mode ( at distance of 8 mtr)=7000 lux minimum and 9000 lux ( max) . dim mode(at a distance of 8mtr)90 0lux(min) and 1200lux (max) .(5)led headlight unit shall have ip-66 protection against water and dust. ma nufacturer should provide certificate for same from any nabl/govt approved lab.(6) dye penetration test fo r detection of surface defects/cracks on cracks shall be conducted as per is:3658-1981.(7) angle of the bea m should be as per clause 12.6.5 of specification rdso/2017/el/spec/0134 (rev.04) (8). headlight be so d esigned that the failure on one led should not lead to failure of other led (9) led used should be of smd/c ob type only.colour temperature of white coloour led shall be 3700k-5000k(white). colour rendering index should be greater than or equal to 80 (10) illumination intensity measurement shall not be less than 4.8 lu x in bright mode at a distance of 305 metre (11) all kinds of tests as recommended in above mentioned spe cification to be carried out.accepted make/brand:rdso approved sources [ warranty period: 30 months after the date of delivery ] [quantity tolerance (+/-): 5 %age , item category : normal , total po value variation permitted: max 8 lacs ] ].
