Rail Wheel Factory has published Supply Of water cooled hood , water cooled hood for fume extraction of arc furnace to rwf drawing no .761900310360 and part drawing no.751900310470, 711900310490, 711900310510,701200111 770 .special conditions for supply of water cooled hood.1. pre-qualification for tende rers.a)firms who are having facilities for heavy fabrication and who have executed si milar works shall only quote b)the required raw materials shall be sourced through reputed sources such as m/s sail,tisco,isp&t,ismt,jindal,msl,kalyani, tata or their autho rised dealers.tenderer shall furnish mtc for raw materials including the source. c)th e tenderer should have qualified welders for manufacturing and supplying water coo led hood on time. they shall also produce latest certificates of qualified welders on their rolls.d.quality assurance plan is enclosed to comply.ii. scope of work for manuf acturing, assembly,testing and supply of water cooled hood.a)submission of raw mate rial procurement invoice from reputed source to m/s.tpi.b)welding sequence plan,selec tion of electrodes of e-7018 quality of m/s.advani oerlicon / l&t/ esab/metafusion/weld craft/ador only.c)marking,sizing and surface preparation.d)preparations of weld joint s.e)welding by qualified welders.f)stress releiving time temperature graph shall be en closed.g)weld joints should be dp tested for liquid penetration test (pt) randomly for 20% - test certificate shall be enclosed.h)painting of water cooled hood by one coat o f red oxide paint followed by one coat of heat resistant aluminium paint.i) dispatch of water cooled hood with suitable packing to avoid damage during transit.iii. inspection: a)by m/s tpi at firms premises shall carry out product inspection.b)stage inspection: rep resentative of m/s tpi at firms works. note: (description characteristics more than 2000 . hence full description as per annexure) [ warranty period: 6 months after the date of deliv ery ] ].
