Indian Institute Of Technology has published Tender For Installation Of Sound Proof Wall Panels; Providing and fixing sound proof wall panelling over the existing walls. The system shall comprise a framework made of 1st quality marine plywood (BWP Grade) strips of size 50mm x 19mm, arranged in a grid pattern of 600mm x 600mm. Onto this framework, 12mm thick 1st quality BWP grade marine plywood plywood panelsshall be fixed. The cavity between the existing wall and the plywood panels shall be filled with rockwool 50mm thick,minimum density 48 kg/m3 to achieve the desired acoustic insulation.The plywood surface shall be finished with 4mm thick veneer of the required shade, followed by two coats of melamine polish to achieve a smooth and aesthetic finish..
